{Shalom Bayit} Challah
November 16th, 2011 PrintShalom bayit (Hebrew: שלום בית ; lit peace at home) is the Jewish religious concept of domestic harmony and good relations between husband and wife. The term has also come to mean any compromise, big or small, which enhances the relationship and the family as a whole.
Truly every home-baked challah should be dubbed a shalom bayit challah. Performing the mitzvah of Hafrashat Challah (separating the dough) is said to bring blessing into the home. But the way our challah is shaped has an added bonus.
When it comes to Challah everyone has their topping of choice. This easy to shape pull-apart challah offers a little bit of everything. A definite crowd pleaser!

3. Brush with egg wash. Then sprinkle each ball with a different topping.
4. Bake at 350 for approximately 30 minutes.

Looks very inviting. Love the naming
Thank you! We worked very hard to find a name that would encapsulate our book! Chic, quick and gourmet for all of us who are “dashing” through our day!
