i love baking chalah for the reason that it makes my husband happy with the taste of fresh chalah friday and the smell of it wafting through our home erev shabbos :)

  2. sara says:

i bake challah every week – it is so special to me to have a time to daven while doing a mitzvah specifically for women – but i would love something that would cut the braiding time in half (or quarters!) i was so excited to hear about this product!

  3. Amelia Schmidt says:

My son is allergic to eggs, so I make challah for our family. Not only am I filling our home with the smell of the yummy challah, I’m reminding my son how special and precious he is, because no matter how busy I am on an eruv Shabbos, I will make challah and not buy some for us and just pull some rolls from the freezer for him.

  4. Devo K says:

I find it to be very therapeutic, each step has it’s own symbolism for me – from the sifting of the flour, to mixing and kneading it by hand, even the braiding can be uplifting.

  5. sheva says:

I love baking challah because its a mitzvah given special to women and I feel like the shechina is brought into the house along with the kedusha of shabbos with it!

  6. Gitti says:

I’ve heard that baking challah is a segulah for easy labor & so I baked challah before each of my children was born. This made it super special for me :) ! Challah is not part of my usual baking repertoire because some of my nearest & dearest eaters only like water challah & are very particular about which kind, etc. I recently decided that I would like to start baking challah regularly so I get really good @ it; after all how many mitzvos do we women have that are so special & make the house smell sooo good :) ?!

  7. Beth says:

I make a double batch of challah almost every week. One batch is used to bake challah with the children in my gan (nursery). The children look forward to making challah each week and for them it is part of our special Friday kabalat shabbat rituals. I bake challah for my own home because I am continuing the tradition that my mother taught me as I grew up in her home. The house just isn’t ready for Shabbat until we smell challah baking in the air!

  8. Aliza says:

I Love baking healthy delicious Challah every week for my family and friends. Watching my husband and children enjoy fresh warm Challah makes me realize how grateful to Hashem I am for all he has given us. This makes the Challah project I joined even more meaningful. We take Challah every week and pray for a different couple who are having fertility problems. Reading about the numerous couples on our list that are finally blessed with children( a couple married as long as I am- over 20 years) makes my hard work joyous and worthwhile. If anyone would like to join it is Lsilverstein70@gmail.com. A pan to help with braiding would be wonderful. I have taught my six sons to make Challah, but none of them have the patience for braiding.

  9. yafit says:

  12. Yocheved says:

i almost never bake challah, because the thought of braiding and the whole process stops me. I can hardly figure out where to fit it into my busy schedule. maybe with this pan – i would give it a try. i would love to have the chance to make hafrasha on my own dough!

  13. Zahava says:

My family loves homemade fresh challah which is why i had to purchase a bread machine to be able to have homemade challah every week. Braiding intimidates me which is why it would be fun to try this product

  14. Devorah says:

I would like to win because I would like to start making my own challah and being that I do not know how to braid a challah, this would be the perfect tool needed to make my own challah!

  19. zahava says:

i am blessed to live in yerushalyim ir hakodesh and have learned over the years with many unique and famous teachers. one specifically changed my life, by teaching and giving over the inner meaning of how and why we say the bracha and what shefa (abundance) we bring down by fulfilling this mitzvah.

i often think of her as im blessing by children while adding the salt, and anointing each child while adding the oil, etc.

what a great mitzvah to take on if you have not already!

  20. Marla says:

I have just started baking challah after my recovery from cancer, it makes me feel good to do this for my family every week. the only problem, is that braiding the challah is difficult for me since I have lessened arm strength

  21. jamie says:

  26. debbie says:

I love baking challah, but can’t do it as often as I’d like. I find it very time consuming. I’ve begun baking double batches, double wrapping them and freezing them. I warm them in the oven on Friday afternoon and they taste delicious!!! My family loves them!!! I do not braid, because I am intimidated by it, but rather make balls and bake in a round pan creating pull-apart challah. I would love to try this new pan.

  27. batsheva says:

its one of three mitzvah that a women does its such a special feeling when you make challah that its your mitzvah it just makes the whole house feel special the nice part about it is that everyone really enjoys it so much i have a hard time with it coming out nice i feel this pan will really help its also nice to see my married daughter also wanting to do this mitzvah gut shabbos to everyone

  28. Anonymous says:

My kids love when I bake challah. I love how the fresh challah smell baking fills the house. That is the true Shabbat smell. My kids love when we put sprinkles on the challah. I love the savory ideas for the toppings on the other page. This pan looks like so much fun.

  29. Rachel L. says:

I like to make challah because it’s a beautiful mitzva for women and brings brachos into the home. Besides the fact that it tastes so much better when it’s homemade and who doesn’t love the smell of freshly baked challah?

  30. Bracha Kress says:

This product would add to the shabbos atmosphere for those having to bake gluten free. Recently I found an excellent oat challah recipe that can not be braided. In order for it to maintain its light texture it needs to be baked in bread or muffin tins. Although I do make and braid regular challah for the rest of my family the oat challah just doesn’t feel the same. I really enjoy the mitzvah of making challah. I can’t help but feel like I am connecting with my ancestors.

  31. Jessica K. says:

I love baking challah for so many reasons. I love the expression on the faces of my children, husband and guests when they take their 1st bite each week of homemade challah – bliss! I also feel connected to Jewish women thoughout place and time as we share this special mitzvah. When I make a six stranded brand, I love the idea of the six days of the week dovetailing together to blend into the majesty and beauty that is Shabbat. Ultimately, the sweetness and comfort of my homemade challah IS the taste of Shabbat.

  32. CE Fogel says:

  34. ZK says:

I love the feeling that challah baking is our special mitzvah. I try not to answer the phone while baking challah and put my entire concentration into the mitzvah. And of course, my family LOVES my challah as opposed to the bakery challah!

  35. dena says:

Challah is comfort food in my home. My daughter married and moved away, yet when she visits I have to make extra for her to take back (she says hers isn’t as good, she doesn’t have time, etc., etc. … oy!).

  38. Brocha says:

To me, nothing smells like Shabbos except Challah. I am not a fan of a traditional Shabbos meal. I love to experiment, but the smell of Challah baking fills my house and makes me so happy. I’d love the win these pans because they would really make every Challah not just taste great, but look it too.

Challah empowers me as a Jewish woman. One of the 3 special Mitzvos we were blessed with, I truly feel the power of the moment and pray for those who need blessings. I teach Challah class three times a year and each and every time, i learn so many new wonderful things.

  48. yael says:

  49. Tami says:

My friend Yael and I enjoy baking challah together and it is a wonderful time to center our activity around doing a mitzvah. As challah is one of the 3 mitzvos specifically given to women, we cherish the opporunity to daven during the “Es Ratzon” after making the bracha. We have learned and shared many strategies about how to make our challahs look beautiful and taste great.

I love baking challah. I do everything by hand – sifting, kneading, and braiding. The taste of homemade challah at the seudos is a taste of shabbos that just can’t be replicated!
I would love to try this pan and save some time in the process. Maybe then I could actually bake challah every week.

  52. Anonymous says:

I bake Challah every week, it is part of my cooking for Shabbat, I love the idea of now I will not have to spend all this time braiding it. The job is done faster, it looks beautiful and can now concentrate on the rest of the food to prepare for Shabbat.

  53. Sandy Kalish says:

I love baking challa because of all thekavanas I have for the people I love and people in need of a segula . It adds an extra dimension to this beautiful mitzvah!!!

Yet he has never baked a cake in in his life and I his wife have never baked a challah, but have baked many cakes so I suppose he is gettung all the mitzvots, he does not come from a religious background but I do.
