Speaking to Your Kids About Personal Safety

July 13th, 2011 Print

Unfortunately, we live in a world that includes sick individuals, including in our community, who will harm children when the opportunity arises.

Below is a parenting workshop entitled “Speaking to Your Kids about Personal Safety” (34 minutes long) conducted by Rabbi Yakov Horowitz, Director of The Center for Jewish Family Life’s Project YES and dean of Yeshiva Darchei Noam in Monsey, NY.

Rabbi Horowitz provides practical tools to help parents teach and more importantly empower our children so that if G-d forbid they are approached by a predator they will have the understanding and strength to get out of the situation and tell their parents.

This video is part of the Project YES “Keep Our Children Safe” initiative, designed to raise awareness among parents in our community about the importance of speaking to our children about safety and personal space.
