Magnet Tray Play

February 7th, 2011 Print

Kids are drawn to magnets, like magnets are attracted to refrigerator doors. Unless your refrigerator is stainless, then you’re out of luck.

Here’s a creatively simple way to reintroduce magnet play while maintaining a clear path to the fridge during meal prep time.

Dig out some unused cookie sheets and set up a magnetic play tray to keep the kids amused while you do the cooking.

One smart blogger even went so far as to spray paint her cookie sheets with chalkboard paint. from cookie sheet to a multi-purpose activity board for playing at home or in the car.

This is brilliant! I was actually just looking online for a magnet toy for my little girl as she loves playing with the magnets but I don’t like her in the kitchen too much. so this is a great idea – thanks!
