PB2 Peanut Butter
June 30th, 2010 Print**Caution: This post may contain traces of nuts.**
PB2 Powdered Peanut Butter is a great item to keep handy if you’re counting calories. Through a special process, 85% of the fat calories are removed from peanuts, then ground into a fine powder. Compared to 2 tablespoons of traditional peanut butter which has 190 calories and 16 grams of fat, PB2 has only 45 calories and 1.5 grams of fat.
To give yourself a protein boost, simply reconstitute the powder with water and spread on crackers, celery, or a granny smith apple (our favorite!) or use the powder to season sauces, pies, and smoothies.
Its certified kosher parve by the OU and it comes in a chocolate variety too. Bell Plantation also has a wide variety of recipes on their site.
For the lowest prices, we suggest ordering PB2 from Netrition.

Will this work in recipes that call for PB? I love PB but can’t buy it because I’ll eat too much of it
I must buy some to try in ice-cream and sauces, even if it won’t work in cakes/cookies.
