Chowmein Mandarin Salad

The dressing for this salad will soon become your go-to dressing for all fruity/nutty salads! The options are endless: Use baby spinach instead of romaine, strawberries and avocado instead of mandarins, or add cubed grilled chicken or smoked turkey breast.

Ingredients:

Romain lettuce
Almonds, slivered
Sunflower seeds
Scallions, sliced
Canned mandarin oranges
Thin chowmein noodles

Dressing-
3 tablespoons olive oil
5 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
5 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Toast the nuts and seeds for about 10 minutes.
  2. Combine the dressing ingredients in a cruet. Dress the salad immediately before serving.
